The basic mission of the Department of Agriculture is to develop the agricultural-sector through training and guidance for farmers, planning and implementation of development programs.

The Department of Electrical and Mechanical Services acts as the advisor of the government on questions relating to electricity and on all electromechanical issues. It carries out a wide range of activities, such as the planning, the design, the execution and the maintenance of governmental electromechanical installations, the purchase of machinery and vehicles, the management of vehicles, machinery and electromechanical installations/equipment as well as the maintenance of all government buildings.

The Road Transport Department is responsible for the improvement of services that are offered to the public, the removing unnecessary bureaucratic processes, the growth of modern public transports, the increase of level of road safety, the qualitative upgrade of provided services with use of modern technology and the reduction of environmental repercussions that is caused by the road transports.

The Department of Information Technology Services (DITS) is responsible for matters concerning the promotion and application of Information Technology and e-Government in the Public Sector.

The Public Health Services are responsible for a wide spectrum of activities that concern the protection of the consumer's health.

The main objectives of the supervision exercised by the Superintendent of Insurance are, protecting policy holders and insurance beneficiaries, ensuring the smooth operation of the private insurance market and consolidating consumer confidence and safeguarding financial stability in Cyprus.
 

The Service was founded after the Turkish invasion and its mission is to deal with the refugee problem and to provide help and support to the displaced and those suffering.

The mission of Mental Health Services of the Ministry of Health is to provide quality care for mental health cover, in addition to treatment and rehabilitation areas of prevention of mental disorders and drug addiction, and the field of mental health promotion and healthy interpersonal relationships.

The Ministry of Defence is responsible for putting into effect Government Policy regarding the security and territorial integrity of Cyprus.
