The Department of Geological Survey, within the scope of its responsibilities, prepares maps that include Geological Suitability Zones in relation to the geological hazards threatening the built environment in the terrestrial area of the Republic. These zones are periodically revised based on new knowledge acquired from recent geological/geotechnical investigations. The reference to the month and year always relates to the latest version and publication of the zones.
